Therapist Specialties & Approaches
Chronic conditions? Feel sad or anxious? Empty or alone? Stressed? Hopeless? Past trauma? Therapy can help!
Specialties
It is difficult for me to say what I specialize in since I am very eclectic and have varied experiences with many issues. I also taught University graduate students and worked as a supervisor, so teaching multiple subjects and working broadened my therapist world-view. However I do EMDR for trauma and have many referrals for more complex issues. I make no claim in being an expert on any given issue, but here are several of the issues that I often address :

PTSD, complex trauma, OCD and other obsessive/compulsive disorders, panic disorder, depressive disorders, bi-polar disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, relationship issues, phobias, codependence, identity issues, history of abuse, eating disorders, attachment issues, borderline personality disorder, cognitive processing disorders, addictions and substance use disorders, other general mental health conditions, life stressors, transitions, couples and familial concerns for adults only.

Approaches

While my approach to psychotherapy is based on "what works", these are common treatment modalities that I often use individually or collectively depending on the issue(s):
